Appalachian Women’s Museum Community Engagement Project

A semester-long collaborative project focused on community engagement in partnership with the Appalachian Women’s Museum in Dillsboro, NC. The work involved creating video content to highlight the museum’s impact and support its outreach efforts.
Goal:
Increase awareness of the museum, highlight its cultural significance, and support outreach to attract visitors and volunteers.
Role:
Developed and produced a series of videos, including concept creation, filming, and editing, ensuring all content aligned with the organization’s message and goals.
Strategy: Used storytelling to highlight the museum’s history, exhibits, and community impact. Focused on making videos engaging and easy to share online.
Outcome: Produced a series of videos and presented the final portfolio to the client, giving them content they can use for outreach and promotion.

PRSSA 30th Aniversary

Overview: Supported the PRSSA 30th Anniversary campaign at Western Carolina University by creating promotional content distributed through social media and email.

Goal: Increase awareness and attendance by engaging students, faculty, and alumni through multi-channel promotion.

Role: Planned, filmed, and edited promotional videos and collaborated with group members and Mykala Anderson on content distribution.

Strategy: Created a content series including milestone moments, invitations, reminders, and leadership spotlight videos to build anticipation across social media and emails.

Outcome: Produced multiple videos and materials, contributing 15+ hours to campaign execution and maintaining consistent event promotion
