In Design: Newsletters
A promotional newsletter designed for Momma Nan’s Treats to showcase products, highlight customer reviews, and promote a seasonal discount. The layout focuses on creating a warm, engaging experience that reflects the brand’s personality.


Goal:
Promote current products, increase customer interest, and strengthen brand identity through clear visual communication.
Role:
Designed the full layout using Canva, organized content curated from the business website, and developed messaging aligned with the brand’s tone and audience
Strategy: Created a warm, brand-aligned layout using inviting colors, product imagery, and storytelling to highlight best-selling items, customer testimonials, and seasonal promotions. Structured the newsletter for easy readability with clear sections and a strong call-to-action (“Order Now”) to encourage purchases from in-store customers.
Outcome: Delivered a reusable newsletter template that the business continues to use and update for ongoing promotions, improving consistency in branding and customer communication.
Resident Assistant: Event Planning
I designed educational and community-building events as a Resident Assistant for various student populations. This included brainstorming and creating event ideas, planning and gaining approvals for the events, budgeting, and creating promotional flyers and images for group chats and print for residents living at Western Carolina University. *See slide show for graphic examples*
Goal: Increase event visibility in the residence halls and encourage student participation in community events.
Role: Led communication efforts and designed promotional materials, including organizing content and creating clear, engaging visuals.
Strategy: Developed targeted events based on resident needs and promoted them through visually engaging, easy-to-read graphics shared in group chats and printed for on-campus visibility. Focused on combining educational value with interactive elements to boost attendance and participation. Leveraged consistent design and branding to make events recognizable and appealing.
Outcome: Successfully executed multiple programs with consistent promotion, increasing visibility and participation among residents while strengthening community engagement within campus housing.
